We Made The Papers!

Threads & More is featured in the latest issue of the Brisbane News Magazine "Craft Counsel issue". The article concentrates on the creative revival happening across Brisbane and features a photo of our very own Lynda and Ann happily crafting! As well as exploring the rise of craft sites and forums online, the article talks about social crafting and describes Threads and More as a 'hub of genuine creativity' for local crafters. High praise indeed!

"Craft gives you an impetus to connect with a group", explains Alix. "If you enjoy it, you want to share, so you seek out ways to do that."

And we certainly do that at Threads and More. With crafters of all kinds coming together on Wednesdays and Saturdays to hang out, have a cup of tea and, most importantly, create, we are proud to have such an active community here. Thanks to all our crafty friends for your support and are always eager for new members!

Congratulations also to Shannon Deutrom of Milk and Honey and Samantha Jockel of Biddy Bags, who are also featured in the article.

felting frenzy

Several times a year we have a wonderful felting teacher Raewyn Penrose visit from New Zealand to teach us new exciting technique and share her amazing talents with us... Along with the felted blanket, felted vest, hats and handbags, scarves and panels, Raewyn also on this visit taught us to felt a blended fabric... a fun time was had by the ladies, shreading all our wonderful yarns, fabrics, and embellishments to add to the wool tops.. the results were incredible.
Happy Knitting or in this case Felting!!
