You wouldn’t believe it, but it’s only 32 days to Christmas!!! But the good news is that you can still join us this Sunday and knit up some cute little iCord decorations to adorn your tree and Christmas gifts. There are only a handful of places left in this great afternoon class with our famous iCord tutor Henrietta Dups of Biggan Designs yarn fame. For only $45 you can learn the techniques and tips to iCord your way to Christmas joy, and also make a bundle of great jewellery pieces for yourself – who doesn’t need some “me” stuff @ Christmas too? All the details are here.

If you have Christmas sorted but not the children, then maybe a place at the Threads and More holiday camp would appeal. Leading up to Christmas we have got some brilliant classes to introduce felting, beading and hand sewing softies to the junior crafters in your world. Classes are for 8 years and above, and include materials and morning tea. For more details click here.

Ok, so you have Christmas AND the children sorted, but need to occupy yourself with a new craft to enjoy through the summer months? Why not join a small group of new friends and give wet felting a go? Completing a sampler piece of flat wool felt embellished with silk and fibre will prepare you for felting fabulousness. Only 2 places left!!!

Booking for any of these classes is easy, just call the store on 07 3379 6699, or email us at shop@threadsandmore.com.au.

Weird Places T&M Has Been Advertised...

We're asking all our loyal shoppers to comment on this post with stories about Threads and More coming up in unexpected conversations or places, the weirder and more original the better!

We were inspired to start this particular post after a Sunday knitter confessed to having started talking about Threads and More to a complete stranger while standing in line for the toilet at a Andre Rieu concert! She realised someone was touching the hand-knit shawl she had wrapped round her shoulders and, friendly people that crafters are, struck up a conversation about knitting and her local yarn store. Inspiring stuff!

I definitely can't cope with the commute to work in the morning without my trusty handbag-sizes knitting project, and have started some great conversations with fellow commuters about the revival of crafting, and the wonder of being able to turn a heel on four needles.

Can't wait to hear about your conversation starters...
