My ultimate Christmas gift would be the Addi Turbo Click system...I love things that help organise me since I'm such a messy knitter and am always losing needles!
ReplyDeleteGreat advent ideas! Thanks very much,
Little Fire
Dear Santa, could you please send me some crochet patterns taht my Grandma would NOT make? She is sweet an' all but I do not want to make dishcloths, doilies or dog coats. I would like to create something fabulous! Oh, and some delicious yarn to go with it, if it's not too much trouble.
ReplyDeleteThanks Santa, love jam
Aslan Yarns, Del Sur. Colours - so many attractive ones to choose from - Crudo, Scarlet,Azul. If I am being greedy I would say 4 balls of each. Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteOf course, Addi Turbo Click system would be great too. I might have to wait for my 50th birthday for that one! Annabel Logan
Please Santa

ReplyDeleteDear Santa,
ReplyDeleteI am yearning for some yarn to knit my teenage "out there" daughter a beautiful shawl for her birthday. Maybe some Noro Kureyon and some Jo Sharp in an equivalent ply: it would look stunning and vibrant
Dear Santa, I would love some balls of Noro Silk Garden. Enough to knit a yummy jacket for next winter. I'd be the envy of all my friends and it knits up so lightweight and warm, perfect for Canberra winters.

Dear Santa,
ReplyDeleteI would love Jo Sharp yarn and something funky but practical to store my knitting projects and needles in. My shopping bags are looking a bit sad!
Dear Santa,
ReplyDeleteI would love to spend a Saturday (right under the air-conditioner) knitting up one of those fantastic Maxiballsat at Threads & More with my friends; sipping Tea and eating Chocolate & Beetroot Cake. I know I do this often, but you never can have too much of a good thing!
;-D
Dear Santa,
ReplyDeleteSince it is summer in Christmas time, I prefer to knit something soft and light like silk which feel both soft and light, oh, I'm so greedy, I like to knit a long coat that can wrap around like shawl and scarf, which means lots of yarns needed ^^| a complete set of clover knitting needles would be also lovely, even more greedy. Thanks and merry Christmas to all^o^~
Santa my friend,
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I want time. I want the time required to enable me to do the creative things that is my own form of meditation. I want time to be good to myself which helps me good to others. I need time that doesn't stop me getting the other thousand things done that are always waiting. Santa I need time so that I don't feel guilty for prioritising myself. Santa I want those in my life to take time for themselves, to be happy, and therefore to have the time to consider me and what I need. Santa I want the time to love and be loved. I want the time to enjoy it when my son chooses to give his Mummy a big cuddle. I want time to enjoy my life, to enjoy those around me and nurture my soul. I want everyone else who has a bad moment to take the time to enjoy the good thing that comes from it. Time... without the seconds flying by.
Opps, bugger, this has taken too much time... ta ta
A weekend in Hepburn Springs/Daylesford in the winter with a group of crafty friends. Everyone brings something to eat to share so we don't worry too much about food. Bracing walk in the morning, great lunch then an afternoon of knitting, drinking tea and chatting. Another walk before dinner, or a spa at the Bath house and then settle down for an eveing of wine, cheese, knitting and chat. Very productive!
ReplyDeleteDonna Mifsud has on her wish list any class on offer at Threads and More.. I want to do them all!!!
ReplyDeleteOops I am new to this blogging I did not mean for it to be from Anonymous!
ReplyDeleteAs I can not have the time to knit uninterrupted....I would instead like the mind that could remember which row I completed just before I had to rescue the cat, feed the child, read, cover the cut.......
ReplyDeleteDear Santa, I would like enough balls of Sublime Cashmere Merine Silk in Blush/clove and Nest Egg colours, to knit several patterns in the second Sublime Cashmere Merino Silk pattern book #619, plus a pair of Art Viva Needles in each size and different colour - not that I am greedy of course, but that would be sublime!!
ReplyDeleteDear Santa
ReplyDeleteI would love some gorgeous Noro silk yarn with bamboo circular needles of various sizes and lengths to make gorgeous gifties with. I would also love a copy of Knit Two Together- Tracey Ullman finally got me to move past scarves an onto more adventurous stuff- I finally knit my first jumper and a couple of hats this year.
Victoria
Dear Santa,
ReplyDeleteI would love some Debbie Bliss cashmerino yarn and Itty Bitty Toys by Susan B. Anderson so I can knit some gorgeous toys for all the kids I know.

Jalena says....My ultimate wish list... Would have to include my own personal knit instructor to walk with me as I begin my knitting journey... To gently correct my mistakes and encourage me to continue... To help me create beautiful and one of a kind creations....and to push me to try new things.... And finish them! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Santa,
ReplyDeleteI would love some bright yarns in various textures. TEXTURE MAKES THE GARMENT SING. Just love cardis and boleros to be a little bit different.

I would love to learn how to change colours without knots!

Rosanna would like a hairpin lace loom so she can make some pretty gloves, hopefully in time for next winter... Pretty please!
ReplyDeleteThe tippy top of my Christmas wishlist this year is a drum carder - I learned to spin this year and I have been so inspired by some of the beautiful fibres out there, I would absolutely LOVE to blend my own!!
ReplyDeleteDear Santa, my Christmas craft wish would be to have my lovely crafty daughter, Parisa, home for Christmas. She works for you at Threads and More. I realise that might not be possible, so I would be very happy to have a copy of Bullions and More by Prudence Mapstone, and any other crochet titles that would appeal to a freeform crocheter. Greetings from Ireland:) Rena
ReplyDeleteI would like a sample of soft, natural yarns in bright colours to knit a few multicoloured beanies for friends who get cancer (and need a bit of cheering up as well as warmth). Fortunately I don't have any friends in this catagory at present - but I do need to plan ahead.
ReplyDeleteI would like the book Victorian Lace by Jane Soweby, the yarn and needles to make anyone of these gorgeous shawls.
ReplyDeleteA subscription to that Softies magazine could be fun as well
